Prizes and Awards

 

The work of the first Director of the Solid Earth Physics Institute Professor P. Varotsos has been given the following prizes

• Prize of the Academy of Athens (1978)
• Prize of the “Empirikion” Foundation (1986)
• “A.S. Onassis” Foundation Laureate for the Environment (1995)

During the last four years, the following awards have been also given to publications by members of the Solid Earth Physics Institute
